Guidelines, Terms and Conditions
By signing up to become a Selected Transfer Services Agent, you and your firm agree to the following:
- To offer a trade rate to Selected members constituting a discount of at least 10 percent off the firm's standard price for removal, embalming, forwarding and/or, where applicable, direct cremation services
- To adhere to Selected's Guidelines When Transferring Human Remains
- To provide the highest quality embalming that meets or exceeds the standards set out in Selected's Guidelines for Trade Embalming
- To provide the highest quality cremation service that meets or exceeds the standards set out in Selected's Guidelines for Trade Cremation
- To provide a thorough embalming report, where applicable (participants may use the program's suggested Embalming Report or develop their own form, as long as it is thorough and provides the receiving firm with the same level of information as Selected's suggested form)
- To communicate immediately any problems or issues to the receiving funeral home
- To survey the receiving funeral home either by a follow-up call or by using a written survey (participants may use the program's suggested Service Satisfaction Survey or use their own)
- To provide cost of services on the initial call
- To appoint a key person or persons within your firm to be the Selected Transfer Services contact
- To educate the staff at your funeral home about the Selected Transfer Services program
- To be a resource who can refer Selected firms to other quality firms when they have a death in your region
